This InFO notifies maintenance providers and aircraft operators that the Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) recently signed into effect two international agreements. These agreements document the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) reciprocal acceptance of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Technical Standard Order (ETSO) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) (CAN-TSO) articles.
Recommended Action: Maintenance providers should not reject ETSO or CAN-TSO-marked articles based solely on the lack of FAA TSO markings during a receiving inspection. These articles still require the proper ARCs.
Study Focus: Review qualification and recent-experience requirements.
