The Safety Board notes that FAIRS, which replaced the Federal Aviation Management Information System, provides the information requested by the Board. This new Internet-based system should provide more accurate and timely data that can be used to study the safety of public-use aircraft. Accordingly, Safety Recommendation A-01-81 is classified "Closed--Acceptable Action." The Board appreciates the GSA's efforts on this complex task.
