Use the current eCFR

The regulation changes over time. FlightPush can help you identify where to look, but the current eCFR text is the source to read before relying on a rule.

Common training references include Part 1 for definitions, Part 43 for maintenance, Part 61 for pilot certification, Part 67 for medical standards, Part 91 for general operating rules, and Part 107 for small unmanned aircraft.

Search by the question you are trying to answer

Start with the subject rather than memorizing part numbers in isolation. Certification and endorsements usually point toward Part 61; operating limitations and weather minimums commonly point toward Part 91; remote-pilot operations point toward Part 107.

Do not stop at a summary

Read the full section, its applicability language, definitions, exceptions, and any referenced section. A single sentence removed from its context can produce the wrong operational answer.
